Win prizes for being active and staying healthy this spring and summer
Have you been thinking about taking steps to live a healthier life? Then Communities on the Move is for you. This fun, healthy program is all about getting active and educating yourself on important health topics like eating right, protecting your heart and more. The program starts in the spring each year. It’s easy to get involved and anyone can join. Check back again for information on when we’ll be starting up for the season.
When you sign up you’ll receive an activity log to track your “steps.” You can earn steps two ways:
- Accrue one “step” a minute with physical activity. Whether it’s walking, gardening, swimming and more, super-charge your “step” total with daily activity.
- Get “BONUS steps” by participating in Healthy You Health Improvement Programs. Any class listed in the May-June and July-August issues of Healthy You magazine is eligible. Simply take your activity log to Healthy You classes and programs to receive credit for your steps. See your activity log for step values.
